Conventions of magazine adverts

Adverts such as this one will often appear in music publications such as the NME and Q magazines. These advertisements may also be in supplements of national newspapers and maybe even other magazines. The adverts themselves are often simple with little information on them. There will be the title of the single or album, the name of the band, a short review and the date of release. The theme of the advert will often be the same as the product, for example this Kasabian advert includes stills from the music promo itself. This helps create a brand image and also this particular music video was done in conjunction with Apple, who used the same graphics and imagery to promote their products at the time, and this as well would make the images recognisable.
